Welcome
to the "Teaching with Technology" part of the
site which focuses primarily on the use of technology
in the Japanese language classroom. Part of this page
will be devoted to a Question and Answer section in which
I will attempt to answer your questions about software,
hardware, and anything else having to do with technology.
Here is a description of all of the sections in this page:
1.
Tech-tip of the month:
Looking at all questions I receive, I will choose one
answer to be the tip of the month, something that can
easily solve/prevent some problems or assist in developing
teaching material.
2. Hardware Q&A: I will answer questions
I receive on the topic of hardware. An example of a possible
question is: "What is a Smartboard, and how do I
use it?"
3. Software and Web Q&A:
I will answer questions I receive on the topics of software
and the internet. A couple questions may be: "How
do I make Powerpoint Jeopardy?" / " How do I
install the IME/Japanese on Windows Vista?"
4. Teaching Ideas with Technology:
This will be a collection of sample lessons and materials
which make use of technology in some form or the other.
This may include Powerpoint-based games, Podcast examples,
and Webquests.
5. Tech Tutorials:
These are longer, powerpoint-based tutorials on several
topics ranging from: how to build an effective website,
and how to use powerpoint in the classroom.
6. Archives: As this
section takes off, this will be an archive of all old
information.
If you have any technology-related tips, questions, suggestions,
or if you have any question whatsoever related to using
technology in the classroom, please email me at webmaster-as@hotmail.com.
I will try to respond as promptly as possible, and will
keep all emails and questions confidential.
